Guarneri Memento

The Sonus Faber Guarneri Memento speakers have not been far from my thoughts since I aquired the Cremona Auditors. The Auditors are truly astonishing speakers, and I am enjoying listening to them. Still the GM's linger in my mind. I have considered trying to negotiate a deal with the dealer who has Serge's trade-in pair of GM's. I have also considered purchasing a new pair of GM's in the Graphite Gloss. :scratch2:

Red Violin for GM's. I think the larger or wide cabinet SF's may also look good in graphite but the smaller cabinets just don't look as nice.

Serge.......Those photos always seem to bring a smile to my face. The GM's are beautiful.

I think the environment that the speakers are placed will influence the way they present themselves. The Auditors in graphite look very nice in the studio.

Dan, personal preference of course but I think there is just too much black and dark colors going on with the GM's since they have black strings on their stands. Also, the color of "red violin" and even the name of the color itself evokes an emotional response and conjures up images of Stradivarius, Amati and Guarneri violins. I've never seen a graphite colored violin. :D

Serge.......I'm not thinking of buying a violin. :lmao:

I understand your point, though.

If I can swing a deal on the GM's, that will put the graphite SF Cremona Auditors back on the market for some lucky individual. Time will tell.

Dan.....I would have to agree with Serge about the Red Violin for the GM's.

....the "contrast" of the red pops up at you and makes it so "sexy" looking. You can actually see the detail of the workmanship that goes into each speaker with the red. I think you lose that in the darker color of graphite. Just my $.02

of course the final decision is up to your personal taste.....
