My new Gold Lion KT77/ECC8s tubes

I just replaced the stock El34s and 12AU7s in my Premium HP with Gold Lion KT77s and ECC82s—wow! Even right out of the box I hear greater transparency and details, such as finger squeaks on a classical guitar, and greater immediacy without a loss of warmth. Very, very nice.

I want to publicly thank Vintage_Tube (Bob) for his great prices and service.

Glad to hear John. Good too to have your feedback in which the Gold Lions once again impress.

Thanks for the shout out too --

Enjoy Sir,

Best

John.......You picked the right tube vendor. :applause:

It is interesting that you chose to use KT77's. I know the EL34 tubes produce 70 w/p/c/ in the PrimaLuna Premium HP. What is the output power rating with the KT77 tubes?

I think it's the same. The more powerful KT88, 120, and 150 are not as good for classical music from what I gather, plus I don't need more power--I rarely turn my volume past "9:00" as it is!

Another vote for the GL KT77. When I rolled a set into my Conrad Johnson Classic 60SE it was transformed in a very good way.

Had a similar result rolling GL KT-77s into a CJ Classic 60SE. Big upgrade in the sound as you describe, including a more solid lower end with the CJ. They replaced the EH EL34s in my CJ.

I would also thank Bob for the tubes, but I don't recall where I purchased.
