Burmester 948

Is anyone using the 948 in their System?

I'm thinking about replacing my PurePower 2000 with one.

The 948 has its unique way of dealing with power conditioning. I would love to read your take on B948 vs PP2000.

Tommy... I really do love my PurePower 2000, it just looks a bit out of place with all the shiny Burmester gear.

I'm also starting to look at the Burmester 100 for another Analog Rig...

I am sure the 948 is decent, but I am itching to try the Running Springs conditioners. They are supposed to be better. I love my PP2000 and because my power drops once in a while, I feel more comfortable with it.

I wonder if the PP2000 will handle a 909 :)

Joe... Should decent & Burmester be in the same thread? ;)

Maybe not, I guess we will have to try one and find out. It sure is shiny though

Great component in all aspects. I'm using the 948 after compared it with Shunyata Hydra 8 and other similar components. At my ears the 948's is the component in their kind where the music still remains dense, incredibly textural and wonderfully natural realisation of dynamics. The contrast and airy resolution of musician and his instrument is awesome.

Hi Ivan,
I'm using the 948 with satisfaction.
I can notice the effect on my Kuro screen too!

What kind of effect does it have on a tv?
