Elusive Disc
 

I ordered some records this past Xmas for a friend from ED, all arrived to him with cellophane packaging removed. A few were obviously 'used' due to the visible scratches on the LP. They were replaced. Yesterday I received an order form ED (MoFi Dire Straits/Dire Straits 45rpm). It arrived unsealed, also, and the seams were split. I did not even remove the LP, but I requested a new copy - waiting to hear back from them. Have any AA-ers who shop ED (I know, not a good acronym) experienced what I have these past few months with LPs not being sealed?

I have been a customer of Elusive Disc for a long time, although I haven't bought anything in the past 6 months or maybe more. FWIW, never had a problem with them.

I buy from Elusive every month, have never had any of those issues. Their selection and service has always kept me coming back.

Nothing but excellent experiences from them as well, though I've ordered more vinyl from Acoustic Sounds. That said, my only orders in the last year from ED have been equipment, not records.

Customer Service got back with me very quickly and they are taking care of this issue.

I've been waiting on a backorder for about 6 months now, but I couldn't find the record anywhere else so it is what it is. I just used Experience Vinyl for the first time and bought "Sketches From Spain" by Miles Davis. Their shipping was an adventure, but the record sounds great.

Replacement arrived quickly and well packed. Now, to get the rest of those 45rpms that are on backorder.....Jason (CS) did a great job of keeping me updated throughout the process.

Never a problem with ED (:D) over the years, but back-orders may be a challenge with the Apollo fire.
