Nicely done! I'm literally in the middle of the same project.

The only thing I did purchase locally from a tile home interior store (and did not work as planned) were 3 boxes of magnets (4 magnets per box). The plan was to install them spaced apart for the 4 foot length of the face of the garden tub -- to have access to the hardware & motor. The tile was too heavy for the magnets to work properly & so went with plan B (screws & grout over the screw heads). Neat product though (as the photo shows). Loss of $20.95 w/tax for 3 boxes & gave them to the guys for use in a future job. Also bought at the big box hardware store 1/4 turn "sharkbites" which replaced the archaic water shut off valves for the sinks and toilet. Just so happens a nice neighborhood is near the large lake & wooded area a few miles up the road. Tough for them -- heaven for the animals. Best Sir, Bob |

Received the quote for the seamless shower glass the other day --:yikes:
Asked the guy if he'd do a trade for Nordost Odin Speaker Cables.:D Told him to proceed -- Best Sir, Bob |
Well, the glass guy called yesterday and said he believed the glass would be through going thru the tempering machine yesterday and if all went well, he'd be on site today at 12:30pm.
Great news and at that time, he showed up with his older son and proceeded to install the seamless shower w/a header. We selected matching brushed nickel finish for hinges, clips, upper header and door grab. After 5 hours, the 3/8th inch thick tempered glass shower wall was installed. Have to wait 24 - 36 hours for the silicone to cure before use; but, the project is really finished (pull the black tape off Sunday). The wife is thrilled which is all that matters with a grand total of $11,721.33 which is $10K below the 2d quote. I bought quite a bit -- the tile, no drill grab bar (not installed yet), 1/4 turn shark bites x 5, vanity, all hardware, shower arm & flange, toilet, baseboard, 2 vanity lights, ebbe drain & riser, magnets (didn't work out), marble niche shelf, tub trim, and face cloth hook. It definitely turned out better than imagined and will be a definite plus to the master bedroom & overall feature to the house. Okay, now I have time to buy audio gear.:D http://i.imgur.com/TYvaVks.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ZvI3u6C.jpg Best Sirs, Bob |
