I did a shootout at my place as my dealer let me borrow audio research vsi75, moon by sim audio 600i, and anthem STR separates. It's a close battle between the moon and anthem. I'm leaning towards the moon.

I'll give McIntosh and Bryston another listen. Thanks for your suggestions so far.

I have 802D3 with McIntosh MC601's. Love the sound. It also sounded great with the MC452 but definite edge on imaging and bass control with the 601's.

What amp is good for 805d3?
C2600 and mc501? Or C2600 and mc452?

I think high resolving power of my 805D3's is very well paired with the warmth of my C22/MC275 combo. The DB3D is a big help too. Enjoy!
