Raidho C3.1 speakers in Walnut Burl in the house

Finally, the Raidho C3.1 speakers are in the house after having been sitting in Charlotte, NC since 25 September 2012 (air freight via Scandanavian Airlines -- no boat for these jewels:thumbsup:).

Customs & Homeland Security formalities, holidays, duty fees, bond fees, etc., was responsible for the delay (which usually takes a week to 10 days or so to process through). I knew that ahead of time, but then red tape, the holiday, then no residential service on this day because of schedules, etc., kept delaying direct delivery day after day.

Finally arrived locally and I jumped at the thought to go get them myself from the local shipper this evening (exactly at 6PM).

So, I'll be busy for the next few hours; after I eat, shower, etc., and have a cold beer -- I deserve the latter and need the former.

More pics as I go thru the unboxing process.:thumbsup: Wait 'til you see the burl walnut pattern -- Lars from Nordost was at the factory and personally looked for the best cabinets for me -- he sent photos weeks ago & I was floored by how pretty the pattern was. I can't wait to see the speakers in person.

The small box contains the C3.1 speaker bases.

Best

Bob,

I am so happy/excited for you. I can not wait to see them and read all about them. The smaller stand-mount Raidho speakers have my attention. The new .1 series are supposed to be phenomenal. Enjoy!

Bob.......A HUGE congratulations on the Raidho's finally making into your home. The shipping delivery process was torture. Can't wait to see these puppies.

Congrats Bob, I'm starting to believe that that stack of dCS in your house may be coming into some reasonable sound. :D (don't worry, you'l be able to get payback in 2 weeks) ;)

Bob.......Step 1: Get cold beer. I'm guessing you didn't miss that! :D

The Raidho bases look attractive.

Already had one beer -- only one. Now drinking southern sweet tea. We are in serious mode, not party mode -- that though is coming soon though.

The bases are attractive and will spruce up the speakers --

Speaker #1.

Wow --the burl walnut is absolutely beautiful and I'm almost weaping with joy. Lars did good!!!!!:thumbsup:

The ribbon tweeter looks sweet. Tripple boxed - I like that attention by a fine manufacturer. Easy to unbox (similiar to strads, tip up on end & slide outward, carefully).

Now to understand on how to put the bases on and throw something in the MW to eat (no time for a headache now).

Best

Bob
