Back in the Audio game!..home base=PA
Hello fellow audio enthusiasts.
In the 1990's (single guy) after many trade-ups i settled in on a system i actually relaxed and enjoyed. martin-logan request speakers, audible illusions 3a preamp, krell kav250 amp , meridian 508.24cd player and some mit terminator2 cables. Then,(married guy with newborn),sold my stuff!!! ouch...regretted for years! Fast forward about 15 years, i am in the process of recreating my system and i stumbled upon this interesting website. I hope to share my new journey with everyone. i have some stuff in mind and some audio equipment in tow already. Things have surely changed since years past! For the better? I'm not sure of that yet. For one thing ,nobody's giving anything away. Why can't high end audio be similar to the flat screen tv business? Years ago you couldn't touch a 42" plasma tv. Now? You could pick up a couple of 65" lcds on the way home from grocery shopping. And not think twice. I think my balanced interconnects are worth more than my tv. You guys know all this already. But that's what happens when you get older(old). You rant, you rave, stamp your feet...BUT you still buy!! Because that's what hobbyists do. All the best to everyone!! See you all in the pages to follow! michael paul in pa |
Welcome back! Looking forward to see how your system develops. [emoji106]

Hi Mikado, I am by the Delaware water gap in northhampton county. Yes, i love the m-logan 13a's .. I repurchased a used meridian 508.24 cd player and it sounds great. but who knows how long it will last. parts for it are tough to come by . i have a krell illusion2 preamp and krell duo 300 amp on order. i had the krell integrated but needed to trade up. i also use a bluesound node2 for streaming which works well. i am anxious to hear the system when it is delivered and broken in . will let you know. i really love the mcintosh stuff. i hope i didn't err in my decisions.!! the speakers are keepers!!!! all the best! michael paul |
WHAT are the benefits? Can't seem to find a list.

13a's are great speakers Michael, I'm sure you'll be happy. I know the Water Gap area somewhat, our railroad (Pa side) runs right through it !

Hi, Lancaster is my home. Not many audiophile folks around here but Delaware is a great area with excellent Hi-End Dealers to explore.
I’m working on getting the most from my Sopra n2’s with my narrow Townhouse room limitations. Steve |
