When Integrated will include Streamer?
I think is about time that Integrated Amps include a streamer. The purpose of integrated is to have everything. Actually i just reliazed there is one Devialet that already has this, but i am wondering why other brands are not going in this direction

I suppose it would be a modern version of the receiver, but where a streamer replaces the tuner. I don't stream, but lump streamers in the 'sources' bucket along with CD players and turntables. Maybe integrated manufactures believe that buyers prefer that streamers be a separate component so that they can update as improved models are introduced while continuing to use the integrated they have. Also, some manufactures may have philosophically decided to keep their integrateds 'pure' and not combine them with a source, similar to the dilemma they face about whether they should include a DAC, as some now do.

I believe Dartzeel has the streamer and an optional dac as well. Also, please look at the Mark Levinson 585

How about the Lumin M1

Also Auralic Polaris.

What's a streamer? ;)
Being old school, having a phono-stage internal to an integrated is pushing the envelope for me. Streamers and DACs change too often to have them built-in. The only one that does it right is Accuphase, with the use of plug-in cards. Hard-wired makes them soon out-of-date. |
Micromega MOne

Simaudio Neo, Cambridge Audio, Naim, Cocktail Audio, to name a few more. There are lots of them out there, it's a category unto itself. And of course any home theatre receiver these days.

ok i guess there are many then... hehe

Nad. My m32 and M22 preamp both had BlueOS card expansion capability.
