Roon 1.4 Now Available
 

Roon has released version 1.4. Just reading up on it before I proceed and seeing if others have issues.

I installed Roon 1.4 earlier today on my Mac Mini. All’s well so far.

still no tidal mqa integration? what a waste.

Huh? Tidal integrates seamlessly with ROON. Find an MQA album, add it to your library. Presto, integrated.

I would assume he means mqa is still not unfolded yet by roon.

Tis true, while Roon now recognizes the MQA but streams at 48kHz, I can just as easily have the Tidal app open on my desktop and listen to the same album in 96kHz. This is with my DragonFly DAC. With the DragonFly DAC I do not hear any benefit of doing so, in fact I find the DSP of Roon much more useful for most recordings and I have access to all my EQ I cooked up for my various headphones if I choose to use it. Of course I listen to my Gungnir Multbit DAC with Roon for a much better SQ anyways. YMMV.

I like the new 1.4 version, they improved the playback interface even more. Roon just keeps getting better and better.
