Pete.......I thought since we have some great Parisian AA members, I might as well show off their glorious city for them.

Being in Paris is like being in the middle of history. A fresh baguette, a tray of cheese and a fine French wine at a sidwalk cafe will immerse you in the atmosphere of the city. An evening cruise on the Bateau Mouche, enjoying fine cuisine while cruising by Notre Dame, will fill the air with romance. It is truly the city of love.:tresbon:

Donna would lose her mind in Louis Vuitton. :D
Simply Beautiful! |
It is a great city to spend some time in. It is pretty easy to get around by foot or the Metro. Just try and avoid having to circumvent the traffic circle at the Arc de Triomphe.
Nice pics. |
I love Paris and have been many times. It is truly a remarkable city, easily accessible by metro or on foot and you WANT to walk around and just enjoy the sights and atmosphere.
It has character in abundance and whilst the local Parisians can be considered brusque by those from abroad, a few well chosen words of French and you find they are very hospitable. Last time I was there I bought a 'Staub Cocotte', (like a Le Creuset Dutch Oven) their largest version weighing at least 50 Lbs. Took it with me all around town including to dinner, where the Maitre D kindly 'stowed' it for me whilst we dined on superb French cuisine. Ooh la la! One of my all time favourite destinations. Drat it Dan, now I have to go and plan a holiday! :scratch2: |
The first photo reminds me of the Pixar movie Ratatouille, when the mouse is overlooking Paris.
