With a very heavy heart...

To Everyone... with tears in my eyes, and a heavy heart I am deeply saddened to post that Dan aka jdandy has passed away today from complications due to surgery.

He will be sorely missed by absolutely everyone who’s life he has touched, and met. I have personally known Dan for over 15 years.

I will post here again, once I regain my own composure. :tears:

RIP my dearest friend...

I am so sorry, I never met him personally, but he was always so helpful and insightful to me on line, and AA will be diminished, as will all of us, without him. RIP, Dan.

Getting to know Dan over the years has been a real privilege, he was a true gentleman, and loyal friend. From him coming to Cape Cod to spend time with us and his funny stories he would share with us, I will miss him. He was a huge part of our family and our AudioAficionado family. I feel like I can’t quite put into words my admiration for the person Dan was. To say he will be missed is a understatement. Rest In Peace Dan

I just got your text. This is an absolute kick in the nuts. The audio world just lost a big voice.

Very sad time

I barely can find the words to express how sad I am feeling tonight. I have been in touch with Dan over the last three weeks following his hospitalization, and had the heart wrenching experience of saying my goodbyes to him this morning.

I have lost a very close personal friend, and I know Dan had many friends on this forum. This forum has also lost a true asset, and he will be very sorely missed.

We have been very fortunate to have shared our hobby here with Dan, and as very sad as I am at this hour, I know I am blessed to have had as true a friend as Dan.

Rest in peace my friend...

Dan was a pillar of the audio aficionado community... someone who was incredibly knowledgeable in all facets of the audio world! He was quick to lend a hand in any discussion and help along those with even the simplest of questions. I know I learned so much through him over his posts and private messages. Thankfully his memory will live on with the treasure trove of information, thoughts, opinions, reviews and technical help he graciously bestowed upon us here at a community where I know he felt privileged and elated to assist so many of us on our audio journeys! He was was so dear to Ivan, Richard and family it will be supremely difficult for our family... Rest In Peace Dan.
