Platter Ring

Is there a universal platter ring out there that will work for most TT?

I've seen someone recently selling one on Agon and eBay, can't say if it's very good or not. There used to be TTWeights until they closed their doors. I have one for my VPI and can say I only really use it with pretty warped albums. Looking back, I'd probably buy the Vinyl Flat and Groovy Pouch for $220 and permanently fix the warped albums.

Yes, I've seen that one too bit unfortunately, it was sold. Now there's a guy under the Clearaudio who is selling this ring and claimed it to be universal. Here's the link: https://www.audiogon.com/listings/tw...8-pomona-ca--2. Anyone has any experience with this?

Resurrecting this thread because I'm getting really sick of warped records. Ideally I'd prefer a periphery ring like the VPI ring, but I'm pretty sure there isn't anything out there that would work with my E.A.T. turntable. Half the platter is below the plinth and the portion that's above it slopes downward at an angle.

I found this guy: https://www.waynesaudio.com/product-...eiki-music-lin

but those counter weights look like a no-go for my rig.

The ORB Disc Flattener that's sold over at Acoustic Sounds is $1,600 which is a tad pricey.

The Vinyl Flat and Groovy Pouch is a more reasonable $220, but I'm concerned about what it might do to the grooves of the record since the heating process gets at the entire LP on both sides.

What a conundrum! :scratch2:
