The best way to do it on AA is to put your pics on some type of hosting site, Imgur for example. From there you just copy the "direct link" and then use the little picture icon above and paste it there. The pic will then show up full size within your post instead of the small thumbnail attachment. I always resize my pics to around 1100 width or less so they don't blow up in size within the thread.
