Gotham Due Soon!

My new Gotham is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow (Friday) between Noon and 4 PM!:banana:

The only problem is that it looks like I'll have to wait until Sunday for my four helpers to be available to get it moved upstairs. Although the Gotham itself weighs 360 lbs., the weight with packaging is 405 lbs., and the total weight including the shipping skid is 465 lbs.:yikes:

Many thanks to Ivan for his wonderful service (as usual).

You got it my friend!

4 large, strong, burly people, I hope...

That sucker is huge.

(oh, and while I'm sure you already know this: no beer as a reward until AFTER that sucker is moved to its final location!) :D

Actually, it's going to be my friend's son and three of his friends. They all just graduated from high school and are good sized, and one of them is the state champion weight lifter in his class. No beer for any of them, but my friend and I may tip a few as we supervise.:banana:

John.......Perhaps this might be a good time to rent a pallet jack.

Or install an elevator!

Fedex freight says they will deliver the pallet-mounted Gotham with a lift-gate-equipped truck and will move the pallet into my garage. I was planning on undoing the strapping and letting the helpers lift the still-packaged Gotham off the pallet and then move it inside and up the stairs.

I am completely open to any suggestions as to how to make this as easy as possible.

Thanks, Dennis. A great idea, but I'm not sure I can wait long enough to get it installed.:D

John.......How many stairs, a couple or to another floor. Maybe rent a refrigerator dolly.

Five to a landing then a 180 degree turn and up about 20 more to the second floor. A refrigerator dolly sounds like a good idea. Thanks.
