Wireworld Silver Eclipse 8 Speaker Cables in the house!

It's been a long time coming. I've done many tweaks, upgrades, rearrangements, and what have you on my main system over the years. I've completely re-cabled it twice. The first time was
about 6 years ago I guess-I cabled the entire loom with WW Equinox cables, including the speaker cables. This made a nice difference at the time, replacing primarily Audioquest cabling. More recently-
over the last year or two (lost track exactly when I started) I set about recabling the entire loom once again-this time with the Silver Eclipse interconnects-unbalanced and balanced, whatever applied.
As each phase of that effort was completed, I was impressed at the performance bump that was realized going from Equinox to Silver Eclipse. Then some more tweaks an upgrades came in-some by necessity,
others by choice. A new PS Audio P12 regenerator found its way in. Stillpoint Ultra Minis somehow found there way under my McIntosh MCD1000/MDA1000 components (I still don't know how that happened....it just did!)
All these upgrades and tweaks gave me nice performance bumps. The system has (had) been sounding fabulous.

But the one thing that had not been done was I had not made the move from the Equinox speaker cables to the Silver Eclipse. Mostly, the cost was a challenge. Let's face it, they aren't cheap. Plus, I needed not two but
three cables-two 4 meter lengths for my JBL L220A's, and one 2 meter cable for my JBL B460 Subwoofer. At long last, a little over a week ago, these three cables were finally on my doorstep, with some layaway help from Ivan. Thank you Ivan!!

The following evening (Thursday, 9/19), I set about installing these new cables. But before I did, of course I had to check out these beauties. And beauties they are! These are simply works of art, just a beautiful product.

It took about 3 hours or so to remove all three McIntosh MC501 amps, clean the amps, clean there areas where they reside, extract the old cables, lay in the new ones, and reinstall the amplifiers.
The process went smoothly, and the installation looks great.

And so, the moment of truth was at hand. I had a friend over who helped me with moving the amps. I spun a few tunes, including an old favorite by Poco called Ghost town. I could immediately tell the
difference...more dimensionalism, air, vocal clarity. I was very pleased right away. But it was getting late, time to turn in as it was a work night.

Over the next few days, I was, and continue to be, FLOORED by the improvement these cables bring. Pick and area, any area. Bass? improved. Clearer, and stronger. More air? you bet. More resolution, separation of
instruments? OMG yes. Placement of instruments and voices on the soundstage? Much improved, and this was already very good. Not only are voices appearing in space between the speakers, they are more precisely
placed. Say...slightly to the right or left, maybe 1 or two feet back from the front plane of the speakers. I could go on, but I think you get the idea...

As I told Ivan, it's as if all of the tweaks and upgrades I've done over the last 2 years or so have suddenly been unmasked. I know Dan has had similar experience when he upgraded his cables in the studio to these.
I remembered his review at the time-and just read it again. These cables are, in short, amazing, and I feel like they have moved my system into a completely different league. I expected an improvement, but not of this
magnitude. It's like I have a whole new CD collection.

What I typically will do when I upgrade a component, is I take the component that has been replaced and move it to one of my other systems. In this case, I took the WW Equinox cables that were on my main system, and
repurposed them into my bedroom theater. They replaced the WW Solstice speaker cables for my Left and Right Front speakers.

This installation turned out nicely:

I would rate this upgrade as one of the most significant improvements I've realized in a very long time. It's almost as if I'd installed a new preamp or amplifiers. I couldn't be more pleased....it was
well worth the price of admission, and then some. Thank you again Ivan!

I may put up for sale my Solstice speaker cables from my bedroom system up for sale. They have spade terminations on both ends, and I believe they are 3 meters long.

I also may list my WW Equinox single cable that was used for my JBL B460 subwoofer. It is two meters long, with spade terminations on the amp end, and locking bananas on the speaker end.

Thanks for reading folks....

Pete.......Many times we have discussed the improvements the Wireworld Silver Eclipse speaker cables deliver. My experience with my own Silver Eclipse speaker cables allowed me to try to describe what you were missing, and your anticipation of the Silver Eclipse speaker cables arriving still did not prepare you for the experience. I can tell from your comments that these speaker cables have impressed you beyond what you had hoped for, and beyond what you thought might be possible. The same was true for me. The Wireworld Silver Eclipse speaker cables are quite special, and despite their price point they perform at a level that puts them on par with several other far more expensive speaker cables. The price to performance ratio is exceptional. Congratulations on finally checking this upgrade off your scroll. Nice photos and review, too.

Just love hearing how systems are benefitted by addressing supporting aspects of speakers and components - it’s all cumulative, enjoy your sound V.P.!

Now kick on some tunes!

For the Love of Music...that's exactly what I've been doing, and I can't seem to stop. It's after noon, and I'm still in my pajamas. Haha!

It's all cumulative is exactly spot on. And there have been many upgrades going on here to provide that cumulative effect.

This gets illustrated in a rather dramatic fashion as I spin discs that I have not spun in, possibly, years. In those cases, I'm rather stunned to hear the music presented in a very different (and positive!) way.

The Silver Eclipse 8 speaker cables are very definitely the icing on the cake. The separation of voices, the character and timbre of various instruments completely redefined, all add up to an experience that is difficult to pull ones self away from.

It is spectacular indeed.

Thank you one and all for the compliments and encouragement...:thumbsup:
