Off Topic: Help with Yahoo! FMTuners Group

Apologies to All: I believe some of you folks are also members of the Yahoo! FMTuners group. Maybe somebody here can help me with my current dilemma: My email address appears on everything I post in that (or any other Yahoo!) group. This is not good. The group moderator hasn't been able to help me because of the same problem described below.

I did some searching and "learned" that, in order for your email address not to show up on your group posts, you have to create an "alias" and then switch your group membership to that ID. The problem is that none of the Yahoo! links on how to do this are still valid, and third-party instructions refer to links that I cannot see. I ended up quitting my memberships in all Yahoo! groups and deleting my Yahoo! ID. I created another ID (with another valid but non-Yahoo! email address), but that still didn't give me the option of creating an alias.

I'm wondering what kind of Yahoo! ID you created before joining that group, or if you already had a Yahoo! email address. I ask because I signed up for my Yahoo! ID to use my existing (non-Yahoo!) email address because I don't want yet another email account. I suppose that might affect the options I'm offered in modifying my group memberships.

If anyone can shed any light on this problem, I'd greatly appreciate it. -- Clark2
