That's a long contract for a franchise to enter into for hope. What happens if he has a poor record after 3 or 4 years?

I do like Gruden though --

Bob, there's 'outs' no matter what I'm sure.

Myself , not the biggest Gruden fan, he rode in on Tony's coat tails in Tampa and reaped the rewards. Lets see what he does 'this time around' in Raider land
(Vegas, almost said Oakland) and if he is successful I'll be the first to admit I was wrong..........

That is an insanely long contract for a head coach in the NFL who's been out of it for awhile. I guess the Raiders are counting on his in game analysis to translate to the field!

They obviously think they have the talent to be a superbowl team and the coaching is the key. Which makes sense given how they did two seasons ago and the massive regression on all sides of the football this season. It's worth the gamble. If they're wrong, it's only money and they'll have craploads of it once they get to that new stadium in Vegas.
