Amazon Delivery

I needed to add an additional switch to my network set-up so I ordered one from Amazon yesterday. I was sitting downstairs in my 2 channel room and decided to look on the Amazon site for tracking information. It showed delivered and attached was this photo. Pretty cool .

Depending on size most of my Amazon orders get delivered by USPS, items by UPS and if it is coming from a local fullfilment location, contracted delivery like today I assume.

No surprise they are starting to document deliveries.

"Porch Pirates" is a growing problem. While FBI keeps no such statistics, 30% of the Americans report stolen packages that are left on their porches.

Been doing this for Mo this on our area ever since amazon began delivering by their own internal courier system. Much better service and consistency compared to misdeliveries list items by USPS and ups screw ups. Been very pleased with amazons own drivers.

We have had the same UPS driver for years. He is great.

I was surprised to see the photo on the Amazon website.

Another great service that beats up USPS and ups on amazon delivery is you can sometimes track their truck and see where it is and estimated time it will arrive and number of stops left between their location and you. Great stuff I guess.
UPS where we are is horrid. They typically show up between 7:30-8:30 PM! Drop boxes clear out at our gate and walk through our association landscaping. Every once in a while a driver will show up mid afternoon.
Before I went out on disability three years ago when my wife hadn’t retired yet we’d be going to bed on her work nights when they were delivering. Nuts.

The same thing happened to me BUT,, The photo was of someone else's house! I contacted Amazon and they sent me a duplicate order

Looks like it’s working like it’s supposed to. Betting the drivers going to get the 3rd degree from amazon management over that too.

I’m getting them if all sizes and shipping warehouses now. Tomorrow three orders coming from KY location being delivered by Amazon. The other day my order was delivered at 7:30 AM.
Don’t get me wrong... I have my issues with amazon. It this delivery system even in its infancy is beginning to show how bad USPS and ups have become in terms of speed, efficiency, lost and/or damaged deliveries.

True, because Bezos will need to make 79B back somehow.
