RIP Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister

It has been reported that Lemmy of Motörhead has died. He was diagnosed with a particularly aggressive form of cancer on Saturday 26th and died on Monday 28th.

Seems hard to believe it's really cancer, because we all know how he treated his body for decades. But RIP Lemmy, he was one serious bad ass.

Very sad to read this, he was a very talented song writer.

Had the pleasure of seeing Motörhead play live a few years ago... What a joy. His passing feels like a disturbance in the Force... ...He will be missed... R.I.P.

I don't own any Motörhead but I have always liked the raw, punk influences in their brand of hard rock. Of course, the well known songs like "Ace of Spades", "Motörhead" were always favorites. First time I heard Motörhead was watching the British TV show 'The Young Ones' back in the 80s on MTV. There was an episode where Motörhead played on the set. Lemmy lived his life the way he wanted, he lived the ultimate rock n roll lifestyle. Hard and fast. God bless you Lemmy. RIP

And he did write a lot more than ace of spades. Over 17 albums I think. Got a double album of hits and not a bum track.
