mct450 or mcd1000

Assuming these two options for the same price, which is the better choice?

mct450 or mcd1000

If you want CD and SACD, get the MCT450, if you can take advantage of the MCT DIN connector, ie you have a modern McIntosh DAC. The MCD1000 is CD only. The MCT DIN output is the only way to get DSD out of the MCT to a DAC.

If you own C1000 preamp, MC501, MC402 etc with 3D glass, get the MCD1000 to match.

If your own a MDA1000, absolutely get the MCD1000.

I can’t imagine a significant performance difference, 1000 vs 450 with respect to CD. I own the MCT450. It performs great.

Ended up picking up the MCD1000 MDA1000 combination. I will look for an OPPO or similar to play SACD's.
