Pass Labs

Do we have many Pass Lab fans here? Been getting a few inquiries lately, and wondered about a forum.

I am a fan, but not an owner. I've heard a few Pass amps over the years and they ALWAYS sounded delicious. Class-A at its best!

I think that Pass Labs owners would love this forum.

Ivan.......Same thoughts as Alberto. I have never owned Pass gear, although I have auditioned it at several dealers, most recently on Quad speakers. Great sounding amplifiers if you can stand their heat. A Pass Labs forum might generate some iteresting conversation.

I had a F5 a couple years ago, it was a great sounding amp with efficient speakers.

I had an XP-10 preamp with an X250 then upgraded the amp to an XA30.5. The XA30.5 was a nice amp that I regret selling. I thought about getting a replacement at some point but I feel funny about re-buying equipment I've had. When I sold the XA30.5 it was with the intention of getting the XA100.5. I SHOULD have done that. I seem to be drifting back to class a for solid state. There seems to be a certain rightness about it. They are hot and heavy but easier to maintain than some tube amps. I'm like a shark, always moving forward:) (or so I think).

Joe...I must have missed something but I just noticed your avatar and saw the new Burmester 911 mk3s in your signature. When did this happen?

Hi Cyril,

I had to strike when the iron was hot. I almost pulled the trigger on a Luxman M-800A but the 911 mk 3 became available. I should see it in about 10 days.

I'll see if my experience matches everyone else's.

Joe

I have a XA100.5 with WA Sasha and it's great matching.
