Teac Factory Service in New Jersey

A shout out to Russ at Teac Factory Service in New Jersey. They just recently serviced my Teac X2000R and made it brand new again.

I'm not exactly sure how old this unit is, or how much use it has had. It was given to me by a very kind gentleman from AK many years ago. I have always kept it on display, and played it on ocassion. It only needed the normal, belts, cleaning and adjustments. The unit now functions just like it looks; brand new!

For that reason, it has great sentimental value, plus I love R2R's. ;)

Very nice looking machine. I love seeing pieces like this maintained properly and in top working condition.

Ivan.......Such a beautiful reel to reel tape machine. Having it returned to like new status makes it all the more valuable.

It looks so good! So nice to be able to have it serviced and have many more years of enjoyment

Nice restoration. I would imagine there is a dwindling number of people that know how to do this sort of work.

Indeed, these folks also turned it around in 7 days. :ok:

Great turn around time and a fantastic R2R you have Ivan. How much of a rebuild did they do?

That thing looks great. I just bought this a few weeks ago. My brother has five reel to reel machines and found this beauty on a forum for sale. Had to drive four hours one way to get it but does it ever sing!

Is there a west cost Teac guy?

Mine runs great but for the future.

I wouldn't want to ship this unless I had to.

It's a tough call as to whether the black or the silver looks best. I like them both. It makes for a stunning visual statement.

Where did you get that fantastic cabinet?

I think mine is factory, although there is a small gap at the top. Maybe for ventilation?
