Thanks, Puma Cat! I do enjoy the 110's. I am thinking about moving up to Focus 160's. However, given that they would also be on bookshelves and not stands, I am concerned that there will not be enough space between the back of the speakers and the wall and there will be too much bass. Unfortunately, my room configuration does not permit stands.

You guys have some nice gear!
I have a pair of Special 40s being driven by a Rotel RA-1592. Eventually maybe looking at a Moon Ace or McIntosh something. But since it's the bedroom system and has to be wife approved I'll probably have the Rotel for a while longer. |
Hi all -
Speakers = Dynaudio Special 25's US 15th Anniversary edition. Amp = McIntosh M152 (150w per channel rated but apparently will go to 200+ messured) I was using a Prima Luna Dialogue tube integrated for several years. Still have it now in another system. The McIntosh amp seems to have a better control of the low end driver so the lower frequencies have more weight in their bottom register. Kinda of cool. They speakers go lower than I never knew they could. |
Just brought home some Contour 20s, with a McIntosh Ma252.

Been running the Mac + Dynaudio combo for almost a year now. I seem to have lost the upgrade bug :)

new dynaudio user
Have had my new excites now for around 200 hours and am powering with peachtree 220 se.....................I have to say I'm very happy with the entire package. Power from the 220 is fantastic. The one area I have noticed most in in low to mid listening expresses great detail. Now I see dynaudio has released new evoke series.........might wish I would have waited.
