New SACD Marantz SA11-S3 any listening comments

The New Marantz SA11-S3 must be in the USA shops by now.

Anyone had a listen, and have comments on what they hear?

(Difficult to get in Australia, at this stage only by special request.)

Cheers

Nobody around here seems to demo Marantz reference gear --almost all is order only. A Magnolia had the PM15S2B & SA-15S2B, but not the new flagship. It is still order only. I would think Maratnz would want them to demo the latest flagship, but the sales staff said they don't get to pick what is demoed on the floor --Marantz does.

They are not readily available online either --Crutchfield is still pre-order status. Musicdirect seems to have the only stock.

I'm leaning more towards the NA-11S1 myself.

My initial impressions of SA-11S3 and PM-11S3 are in another recent Marantz thread, though none of the units are fully broken-in yet.

Just read a nice review of the marantz, but there weren't any comparisons. I'd love to hear one, at some point.

Warm and coloured. If you like the Marantz sound, this is it.

You've heard it or are going by past Marantz players?

Mine have a relaxed transparent sound that is very true to the music source, these aren't your Daddy's Marantz :D

Holy Moly! Do you have 3 of these? That's quite an endorsement, if so.

I really need to hear one of these, somewhere.

Yes, the sound and build quality of the first one was so impressive I bought a PM-11S3 integrated and then two more players for my other systems. A listening session is highly recommended.

This was what a friend of mine commented when I asked him whether I should consider this player. It is nice to know from you guys that the sound is transparent and quite neutral.
