Need help with speaker connections

Is it better to biwire speakers from one ohm rating or to use 2 separate speaker cables from 2 different ohm ratings on amp? If so, what ohm ratings to use?
McIntosh MC462 and SF Olympica III's.

TIA

I see no reason to use 2 separate speaker cables from 2 different ohm taps on your amp.

I posted this on that thread too:

As per Chuck Hinton at McIntosh "For 3Db more bass, hook the woofers to the 8ohm tap and the Mid/tweet to the 4Ohm tap."

So, why do you need 3dB more bass? Either the bass in your system/setup is in proper balance or not?

Agreed with the above. I would simply use single wiring to the appropriate tap providing the correct response as the speaker was designed to produce.

+1 in single wiring...if you shotgun biwire, please use the SAME taps. I have never heard of anyone using different taps and can only believe the results would be unpredictable and possibly would result in damage to amp and /or speakers...my guess.
