Eagles are back at Berry College
The eagles have returned to their nest on the campus of Berry College in Rome, Georgia. No eggs have been laid yet that I can see.

Dan... Thanks, I always enjoy watching them! :)

That's great. The nest clearly had some maintenance done on it by our parents and looks ready for the hatch.

I think they upgraded the camera's too this year. ;)

It will be fun to once again watch little fuzz ball eaglets grow to full grown birds and fly away. It will transpire between now and mid to late May of next year. I like seeing the parent eagles bring the food, fish, squirrels, and rabbits to the nest and feed the babies. Once the eaglets start to grow they get big fast.

I hadn't signed in since you had started this new thread. After watching for a few minutes the parent stood up, messed with the nest, moved the eggs around a little and sat back down about 180 degrees from this picture.

Still waiting on the Eaglets...

On January 24, 2017 a juvenile eagle come visit the nest. The Berry parents were NOT pleased and Dad Berry made quick work of fighting it off, protecting his nest, the two eggs and his mate! Interesting to note, bald eagle do not get the white head and tail feathers until they are approximately two years old. http://68.media.tumblr.com/9dcfa87a1...ewbo1_1280.jpg |
