Favorite Carribean destinations?

My wife and I are very partial to St. John (Gallows Pointe - USVI) and also Tortola (Long Bay - BVI).
Please share your recommendations and opinions on other potential spots in the general vacinity.

St. Lucia...the Pitons (mountains) rising from the sea are just spectacular. We stayed at the Jade Mountain resort where the 4th wall of the room and a personal infinity pool opened up right to them every morning.

I've been to quite a few and Curaçao is one of my favorites.

St. Thomas (busy) and St. John (quiet) in the U.S. Virgin Islands are favorites of mine. U.S. money, easy to get to, and gorgeous. The British Virgin Islands are a boat ride away.

Edit: I guess I did not read your question closely. For "other locations" I would recommend St. Thomas, but away from Charlotte Amalie (tourist boats land there).

I second that. Nice beaches, friendly people, great diving (or snokeling) and fine dining... and it lies below the hurricane belt.

St. John visit in late 2010 was fabulous & we loved it. Took a trip over to the British island of Jost van Dyke & did the famous ritual of jumping into neck high water and swimming/walking into the Soggy Dollar Bar.

Had a fantasic house rental as well.

Great weather & easy to get around. Food/groceries is, well, could melt a credit card (not really, but is expensive).
