Ovation/Innovation Spiked Feet

My Ovation is being placed on top of a 4” Mapleshade platform which in turn is on a Steve Blinn rack. Do you use the little metal discs under the spikes or no -my inclination is not to?

I used them when I had a maple platform, and still use them now in addition to the CMS interface discs with my CMS Maxxum Rack. Without the discs they are gonna sink into soft Maple like crazy, and maybe not entirely level. I think the discs are a good idea for interface, whether your platform is hard or soft.
