Safe removal of Stillpoints Thread Adapter
 

Is there a trick to be able to safely remove the Stillpoints Thread Adapter?

When unscrewing the Stillpoints I found that sometimes the thread adapter unscrews from the Stillpoints itself, rather than unscrewing from the speaker. As the Stillpoint only has an Allen Key access at one end which is the end that screws into the speaker, it isn't possible to unscrew it without using pliers reining the adapter.

Can you step back and tell us what you are trying to accomplish and what Stillpoints product you are working with?

They are Ultra 5s with Adapter 3/8-16 to 1/4-20 (1" length). I want to safely remove the thread adapter which is in the speaker. When attempting to unscrew the Stillpoints, the thread adapter unscrewed from the Stillpoints instead of the speaker.
