TAD Gear

It looks like the TAD division of Pioneer is really serious about putting some high priced electronics in the market to match their outstanding TAD speakers. From the attached article on the AVguide site I noticed the following prices for Reference level.

D600 SACD/CD player ~$30,000
C600 Reference linestage preamp ~$35,000-$36,000
M600 Reference monoblock power amplifier ~$31,000/each, and weighing in at a whopping 198.4 lbs./each!

Just below that
C2000 preamp/DAC ~$23,000-$24,000
M2500 stereo power amplifier ~$ 20,00

In the US we use the "," to denote dollars where in Europe you use the "." We use the period to denote cents. Just a way to keep you on your toes.

So it would we $20,000.00

Yes, you could get a back-up pair for the price of the TAD's.

I wonder how TAD will hold it's value on the used market? :scratch2:

Probably just as good as a VW Phaeton. :lmao:

When you establish a place in the market for yourself, especially the affordable/budget bracket, it is difficult to sell products that are suddenly even more expensive than the brands known for luxury and high end status. That's like Seiko trying to sell a tourbillon watch for $200k all of a sudden. As good as it may truly be, the resale value will be scary to say the least. :D

That's what I thought; it makes the brand virtually impossible to consider. :sigh:
