CES 2011 - Dust Settles

Now that I am home and had a chance to re-adjust to normality, I will be posting my general thoughts and comments of the show here.

First and foremost, it has been my pleasure to be your personal liaison in bringing CES 2011 to you via AudioAficionado.

You would think after viewing and listening to hundreds of high end systems, the last thing you would want to do is see and listen to your own system. Wrong, that's exactly what I'm doing. It certainly brings things into sharp focus, a new found appreciation for my "own rig".

Stay tuned...

Ivan,

As you know, my system is far from yours.
And when I come back from audio shows, I realize how good it sounds to my ears. Of course, we are used to it. But not only. We have chosen the components. They correspond to our idea of what a good sound should be.
So that's no surprise, when we have a decent system, if we are not blown by many others....

Ivan

It looks like you had fun and while very few systems in a venue like a trade show can touch yours I am sure you picked up a few new ideas, new lines have a few tweeks or new systems in the works :D . Thank you very much for taking the time to post all those nice pictures, I am sure it took you awhile; which camera did you bring ?

These were all shot in RAW format with my D700 and 24~70 f2.8 flash used on all pics. Most were done with manual focus (darkened rooms) and bracketed exposures.

All hand held, which I'm amazed at! :yikes:
