Qobuz USA
Looks like they are selecting Beta testers for Qobuz US. I received an email to be selected as a Beta tester. I am not in any hurry and perfectly happy with Roon/Tidal at the moment but once Qobuz launches I may look into joining as well at some point. Shouldn't be much longer I guess for the Qobuz to be up and running from the US platform.

I received the same email. I would be willing to look further into their offerings if it’s available on Roon.

I received the email as well. I just filled it out and submitted.

I follow a couple Qobuz threads in different forums and all indicators suggest a Roon integration is already in the works. Roon will not publicly confirm, but it seems likely based on what I've heard and read. I used the Qobuz trial (registered from the UK) until it ended and preferred it over Tidal.

I got the email too but it's a non-starter for me now that I'm Roon/Tidal with a dedicated Intel Nuc server.
I'm so done with all the computer crap. If anyone is out there wanting to get into computer audio but doesn't want to deal with laptops and downloading updates and drivers and on and on...Roon/Tidal/Nuc (or maybe small green computer or the Roon nucleus) is THE way to go. If Qobuz integrates with Roon later, I'll evaluate it. |
I feel so left out. No e-mail for me! :(

Both Roon and Qobuz have said they’re working on it, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. |
Qobuz USA
I got the email also, but they still don’t have all their licensing in place for the US, so the selection is not as broad yet as the French site. I’ll keep my French account for now, but may shift over if they get their act together with Roon.
|
I also received the beta tester email. Wonder how they will evaluate who gets in. I put in the way I heard about Qobuz is audioaficionado.org :)

Thanks Marc, I'll check it out. So far I've found more than I have time to listen to on tidal.
|
I also got the email and filled out the questionnaire.
If chosen, I'll try it but I'd have a really hard time giving up Roon. |
I'm a Qobuz Beta tester.
Just signed up. It’s a 30 day free trial. I’ll keep you guys posted. :smoking: |
Does Qobuz support Roon?
I'm asking because I'm very happy using Tidal with Roon. |
They are working together on it now.

I was also snubbed. :) Nice to be in good company.

I was also lucky enough to be chosen. I’ve signed up for the free month and set up Qobuz in my Aurender n100h. I haven’t had much time to listen but I was able to stream some Norah Jones at 24/192 and it sounded very good. And I found Sinatra at the Sands which is not available via Tidal.
|
I'm a beta tester as well. Set it up yesterday. I'll post my initial thoughts tomorrow or Sunday.

Lately, I've been listening a lot to the Verve and Blue Note 24/192 remasters on Qobuz.
They sound fantastic. |
Great to hear that there will be some more streaming options for us soon. Roon will be even better as soon as they integrate as well.
|
I'm a beta tester too.
before I can complete my registration, they're asking me to check a box that states: "I hereby consent to the immediate fulfillment of the contract and acknowledge that I will lose my right of withdrawal once the download or streaming of digital content has begun." Can any of you translate this paragraph for me? |

Received the Beta invitation today. I am trying to set up streaming in my Aurender N100C. I tried to log in with the Aurender Conductor with no success. Suggestions? Also has anyone had to add credit card information to obtain 24/192?
|
Sinatra at the Sands would be an excellent test. I have it ripped to FLAC and in vinyl. Great recording of a legend in his prime.

I signed up online on my laptop first, and I did have to put in CC info. And I had to manually change the streaming settings to the highest quality offer ring. After that I was able to sign in on the aurender without any issues. Sent from my iPhone using New Forum mobile app |

I finally found that out and entered CC. Did not expect to though for a beta test. Everyone can get 30 days free but I guess the beta folks just get to do it earlier than the masses. Hopefully they provide an incentive for beta testers. They could have made the sign up for beta clearer on what is needed to get full experience. Sent from my iPad using New Forum mobile app |

Found one. Terry Callier album “The new folk sound of Terry Callier”. I just stumbled across this by clicking over and over difference albums and clicking the album cover then description to see the resolution.

Just go to new releases and check the ones marked Hi Res.
|
I believe not all marked hires are 24/192. When I go to description I see other types including 24/48, 24/88.2, 24/96, etc.

I think they label as hi res all 24 bit no matter if 44.1 to 192.

Never the less, I went ahead and signed it and I'm now in the process of figuring out how to use it. I've been listening to Tidal via Roon for several months and this interface is quite a bit different. |
[QUOTE=crwilli;949612]Any news on ROON integration?
So that’s a “No”? |
Other than both sides saying it's coming no one is commenting further.
|
For 24/192, look at Blue Note releases from the late 50s - 60s. They're very good.
Stevie Wonder also has a couple. Rolling Stones 'Beggar's banquet'. Joan Baez. ... I find the 24/96 and 24/88.2 releases already very good (there are millions of them). The Simon & Garfunkel albums are terrific. Most hi-res remasters (especially those from the Blue Note albums) easily beat my CD versions, and I don't even own a high end streamer. |
