Meridian celebrates St Moritz Art Masters Festival with limited edition F80
http://www.whathifi.com/productimages/150650fecgt.jpg Meridian F80 limited edition We've already seen a Ferrari version of Meridian's acclaimed F80 system, and now the British company has created a limited edition F80 to celebrate its sponsorship of the St Moritz Art Masters Festival 2009. The luxury, compact audio system has been designed specifically for the event and is finished in the unique Art Masters' metallic gold. Just 20 of the special F80 systems will be sold exclusively to people attending the festival. Leading German artist Gerhard Richter has selected music to support his exhibition at the Paracelsus Building, which will be played through Meridian's 808.2 Signature Reference CD player and DSP7200 digital active loudspeakers. This year's St Moritz Art Masters runs throughout the last week of August. Musical highlights include recitals by the Chamber Orchestra Vienna-Berlin as well as the Mariinsky Brass Ensemble from St Petersburg, under the direction of Valery Gergiev. |

Revolting. It looks like a giant chocolate. :D

They sure sound good though. I love mine but went for Ferrari yellow instead! Then my wife confiscated it for her office. When I asked her what was up with that, she said "Call Bob and get another one!"
Gotta love that. |

The F80 doesn't have a standard RCA S/PDIF digital input and that's the only output that the Wadia has, you won't be able to get the benefit of the iPods digital stream, so I'd just get the Meridian dock.
That's what Jean uses with hers, and with uncompressed and lossless files, it's very good. Matches the style as well! Too bad the Wadia doesn't have an optical output! |
