BagdadCentral

Has anyone else started watching Bagdad Central on HULU (or British TV)? We have finished three of the six episodes and have found it very interesting.

What is different in this series is that we see if from the perspective of a former Iraqi Police Inspector who is grieving after the loss of his wife and son and tending his chronically ill daughter Mrouj when he learns that his elder daughter Sawsan is missing and had been living a hidden life. The first few minutes of the series takes place just prior to the Coalition Invasion of Iraq in 2003. It then jumps ahead several months when he has lost his police role and gets a call that his college age daughter is missing. He finds himself caught between a British Official (Bertie Carvell) who is trying reestablish a viable Iraqi Police force and a US Army Military Police Officer played by Cory Stoll. His not wanting to be a "Collaborator" is tested he is offered medical help for his younger daughter if he works for the Carvell's character.

Very interesting to see what is going on from a different perspective.

We watched the last three episodes of the series last evening. Finally a series with a ending that one finds believable. They could actually make another season the way they left it and I hope they do. Since it was based on a book they would have to come up with a new story line. We both liked this one.
