B&W and Wireworld Banana Plugs

I just recently purchased Wireworld Speaker cables with banana plugs for the speaker end. I unscrewed the posts of the speakers and removed the plastic cap and replaced the screw on post. Even after doing so the banana ends of the Wireworld Cable would not fit, they seem to be too big. Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions or do I have to swap out for spades? Thank you

B&W and Wireworld Banana Plugs

I too had to swap out with spades. The WW banana plugs were too big for both my McIntosh MC601 amps and Dynaudio Contour 30 speakers.

Fortunately, the swap from bananas to spades with WW is easy and not expensive.

Curious if you looked into locking banana ends? Seems they are a bit pricey but look smaller in diameter

Just received the smaller locking banana plugs and they too are too large to fit in my B&W speakers. This seems so odd to me. You would assume that the diameter would be universally the same.

I’ve had the same problem with my speakers. I had to go spades

Could it be that the binding posts on the speaker are of the locking type ?
