Smallest, most useful rachet ever!

Meet the Wera 8001 Hex Drive Bit Ratchet, w/ 60 Teeth. This Rachet will accept all your standard hex bits. It is remarkably small, and precision made. It can apply as much torque as you can give it. The small head size allows this Rachet to be used in the tightest spaces. I bought two, one for each home.

Do you know if anyone makes size 4,5,6 Torx and size 0 and 00 Philips tips that fit directly into the wrench?

An added plus, but not a necessity would be if this is made of stainless steel.

Yup, Wera does.

This looks like it has the driver sizes I am looking for but the length at 44mm is too long for many applications. 25mm lengths is really what I need.

With dental implants now being done by anyone who has ever filled a cavity instead of specially trained people who are used to working with nuts and bolts, I am occasionally called upon to rescue a case where screws may be broken or stripped which sometimes require atypical tools to be purchased or custom made or modified for the patient to recover a prosthesis.

These are 28mm in length

Thank you. 28 mm is good.

I was just looking a few minutes ago and stumbled upon those.

I have to look for a set that has only the very small tips. The biggest thing I would need is about 2.5 mm in diameter. I should contact Wiha and Wera to see what they do regarding replacement tips since many tips are modified for individual use and become unusable unless another patient has the exact same broken component.

I like the looks of that Wera set; which brings up the question of what type of fastener is used by Bryston for BDP, SP3, etc. I was going to take off my BDP1 cover and couldn't determine what was needed to remove the fasteners, maybe the Wera set is what I need.

Steve... I think that set could take the space shuttle apart. :D

Ivan.......I have this Wiha bit set. It has come in handy many times, particularly the tamper proof hex and torx bits. It is almost inevitable to own several different sets of driver tips to get all the varieties you may require.

When I look at the photo on Amazon of the Wera 8001 Hex Drive Bit Ratchet it looks like it has a round hole. Is there some other part that allows 1/4" hex bits to work in it, or do the hex bits fit directly into the ratchet?
