Best monitor speakers to pair with F113's?

While I am still thrilled with my Aerial Acoustic Model 9's -- they are towers and with the F113's, I don't use the Model 9's lowest end anyway and MAY decide to, after 28 years, sell my home and acreage and move to a different home with less (as in NO) maintenance and would consider reducing the size of speakers since the next house will be smaller. The mains would be powered by McIntosh MC501's.

Using my MX150 pre-pro for crossing over, will it be possible to seamlessly match the F113's in stereo to a pair of monitor speakers and obtain the room-filling full sound to which I am accustomed?

If so, what are some recommendations for quality monitor speakers that mate well (not sure that was the correct phrase) with the F113's? (HT 80%, music 20%)

[am thinking out loud at this point]

Thanks,

MikeSp

I really love my Sonus Faber Guarneri Mementos. They're paired with a single F113 (though I'd like to add a second).

I have done a great deal of analysis on this very idea. My recommendation: Keep your Aerial Acoustic Model 9s. They have a built in stand, you know their sound, and you paid for them. Only the biggest of speakers would have to be compromised due to space.

I have kept my Klipschorns for this very reason. Even though I have, and you do too, speaker lust and you feel that you have the resources($$$) to practice, what I call, speaker "in fidelity", I think you should love the one your with.

Ok, all that said. in My order of preference.

Wilson Audio Duette
JBL LSR6332
Revel Gem
Focal SM9 (Powered)
Focal Diablo Utopia
B&W 805D
JBL LSR6328 (Powered)
Paradigm S1
Paradigm Studio 20
Mackie 824mk2 (powered)
Harbeth PESR
Sonus Faber Guarneri Mementos
JBL LSR6325P (Powered)

Very thoughtful response Bill. I love it, speaker "in fidelity" :)

Mike, do audition the Vivid Audio B1's too. You might be pleasantly surprised!
Good luck with the move.

And a Stereophile review of the Vivid B1

Ostensibly, it looks like an art speaker with a bass boost..

I believe those are measurement abnormalities too.

Without an anechoic chamber, it's difficult to get accurate measurements of any speaker below 200hz.

One very nice pair of monitors is Focal's Diablo's or the slightly older Micro Utopia Be's. Both are excellent speakers.
