Very nice Dan....do the rocker switches turn the fans on and off, or the led displays, or both? :scratch2:

Pete.......Each rocker switch turns on and off each of the two fans. The LED digital display remain lit and the display remains active as long as the power supply is plugged in.

Hi Dan, I just moved my 501's into a Salamander 337 cabinet, and I will be adding fans like you did.

How much space did you leave above the amps, after the fan installs ?

Thanks, Lonnie

Lonnie.......This is a photo of my living room system taken in 2010 when I had the MC501's installed on the bottom shelf of the Salamander Synergy rack. Both sides are closed so the only cooling the amps got was front and back. That's why I installed the fan kits. You can see from the shelf above the MC501 that I had about 1-1/2 inches clearance from the amp to the bottom of the shelf above it.

David.......No doubt about it, that was an impressive Mac stack. Non the less the living room system in 2017 still impresses me. The C1000C/P went down to the studio system, replaced with a C2300. The MC501's were replaced with MC601's, and just earlier this year I replace them with a MC452. The MEN220 was sold. The MR85 is still in the system. The MS750 was sold to Vintage Pete a couple of months ago and the Olive 04HD is doing an excellent job in the living room as my current music server. The MCD500 was replaced with an MCD1100, that was replace with an Esoteric K-03 that was recently sold. I am presently using a Wyred 4 Sound DAC2 with the Olive 04HD. The turntable is still in the system with an Ortofon Cadenza Blue MC cartridge. The PMC's are still in the system and will never be replaced. The living room system doesn't see a lot of use these days because the studio system is the primary system now but it still rocks the house and sounds excellent. No regrets, and yes time does fly by.
