Cape Fear!
Well, I got back to the Cape yesterday afternoon. Between my family and I, we have three homes here. None had electric, or even cell service. Trees downed power lines everywhere.
Worst I have ever seen! On top of that we got about 26” of snow... Miraculously, my electric was just restored! More to follow... |
Great news that the power was restored so quick! Not having power for a few days or more with the still cold temps is no fun. The recent 4 day experience of not having power and having to sleep in a jacket made me think the Billions of dollars the utility companies make on us is still not enough to bury the damn cables so this doesn’t happen. :scratch2: Sheesh, 21st century and we are certainly not the cheapest country when it comes to energy cost.

Good to hear you’re power is back Ivan. Good luck with the snow, and take it easy shoveling or pay someone very young.

Just insane the weather that has hit that area this winter, glad all seems to be ok.

Welcome back to CC Ivan. Yes, it seems Mr Groundhog got it right and winter seems poised to cling on until the bitter end. To think mid February we hit mid 70s for a couple days.
Enjoyed a few days in Tampa a couple weeks ago, then back to this misery - I know how you feel. :( |
so long as your structures are safe and sound, be sure to keep yourself the same !
|
Ivan, you've missed a fun 2 weeks. Glad everything is fine.
|
You know Ivan, if you'd just leave me a key, I could keep an eye on the place for ya! :D
