New "Diffuser" Art

Figured this was an appropriate spot to post this. Ordered this from an artist in Canada who makes custom wooden art panels. While they're not actual "diffusers" they probably act similarly to panels made specifically for that. I didn't get it for that reason, it's too small and too high on the wall to be effective. But I like the look. The quality of it feels good, it's well made. It's beautiful. Very organic looking. I like it. Acoustically it will be a good diffuser. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, I actually used the exact wording to describe it, "organic"! I feel it mellows the room. Maybe it's in my head but I feel like it might have improved things a tiny bit too lol.

Very cool...where did you get it?

mcpaf76 10-23-2017 06:27 AM

Her site name is called Eccentricity of Wood.

EfeTe 10-23-2017 09:42 AM

Nice looking indeed, wonder is she's done a larger kind of these.

mcpaf76 10-23-2017 04:20 PM

Yes she has a ton most of them much larger. This was done custom 18 by 18. She could probably do any size you wanted within reason.

Wow. Really cool. How heavy? I went to her site to get some type of ballpark cost without any luck. Thanks for showing this.

mcpaf76 10-29-2017 11:09 PM

it's pretty solid, probably 6 to 8 lbs I'd estimate. Her site shows her work, I think I had to email her for pricing. She gets back to you pretty quickly.
