Aerial 7T vs. Aerial 7B
 

I own a pair of Aerial 7B I am very happy with the speaker, but I'm intrigued about the new speaker. Would it be a sizable upgrade over the 7B?

Yes,
Wider Soundstage.
I felt that the 7B didn't disappear in my room as the 7T.
Flows more easy with less power.
Go for it without hesitation

I haven't heard the 7B but I just took delivery of the Aerial 7T. I'm still waiting for my new amp (Perreaux 150i) so I'm running them off my Denon 4311 receiver. Front end is a HTPC with JRiver running USB into a PerfectWave DAC MkII. In the last two years I've auditioned many speakers including Wilson Sophia, Sasha, Alexia, the Totem Element Metal, Paradigm S8, B&W 802 Diamond, Sonus Faber Cremona Elipsa and others.

Even before break-in and running off a receiver I would have to say I'm thrilled with the performance of the 7T. Extremely good imaging and soundstage. Very well balanced. They're not excessively clinical, picking apart the music like the Wilsons. At the same time they are not excessively warm like the Sonus Fabers. Each of the speakers I'd auditioned in the past had some obvious flaw that made me hesitate. So far I can't find a flaw with the 7T.

Very impressive dynamic range. Absolutely no need for a sub-woofer. Plenty of thunderous bass when needed. I can hardly wait to hear them with a proper amplifier and after a few hundred hours of break-in.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the 7T.
