1917

I saw the trailer for this at the theater last week. I think this one will get some Oscar buzz.

Dunno since I watch movies at the theater and TV shows at home.

Saw it today.

IMO, over rated.

1917

I agree. It is a good, not great, movie.

Had the opportunity to 1917 this afternoon and enjoyed the movie. Though far from perfect this may be my favorite movie of the year. The camera work is impressive. As most of you have probably heard it is meant to look almost like one continuous shot. It feels that way for a good portion of the movie. How they have the camera tracking the scene and actors especially in the first third of the movie is very creative.

I found a few head scratchers and a couple of "that's crazy" scenes but overall they didn't mess up the movie. I won't give away any of what happens.

In my mind it is way, way better than "Once Upon on Time in Hollywood".

Now I really don’t want to see “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”

I agree with previous post 100%..

1917 was good but overrated.

Hollywood needed to be an hour shorter...at least. Brad Pitt saves it.

Saw 1917 last night, and ended up with roughly the same take as Jim's (Still-One). It was still worthwhile, especially in the local theater.

Ditto

As usual Hollywood over does things, how could he have spent that much time in the water in early April, not become hypothermic and how about that letter staying 'crisp and dry' , LOL !
