Lumina
Coming September 8th.
Any guess? |
Bluetooth speaker? Please say it ain't so! In any case... way too many new model lines from our Italian friends...
|
What I would really like to see is an updated variant of the Extrema (but in a non-limited run), under $20K and with the classic rosso violin finish. Or something a step above the Guarneri in terms of bass extension, while still retaining the classic SF bookshelf/stand-mount look of the Serblin era.
|
An Extrema mk2 will be awesome. They already did the EA3 and MA2, so why not an E2?
Or perhaps a high end sound bar that's not ugly? So far, the only high end (and decent looking) sound bar is from B&O. I'm sure Sonus Faber can do much better. |
The teaser video has someone playing a record. With the tagline - Do you enjoy simple things?

If I had an extra room for a second system, I’d buy a NM pair of original Extremas in two seconds.

Looks like the Lumina range will be SF's entry level speakers.

Horrible. Ugly boxes. Not a curve in sight. Silly, cheesy marketing catchphrases. It's like the Italians want to be Apple but they just can't quite manage it (who can?). They also have the Principia, the Venere, the Chameleon, the Sonetto, and they had the Toys (which were amazing)... How many entry-level lines does one company need? I hope these new speakers are successful for them but... ouch.
|
For box speakers, they look pretty decent. Reasonably priced for Italian made products.
