Schiit Sol Setup

Pretty nice video on setting up the newly released Schiit Sol turntable.

With a high-quality inverted bearing, solid cast aluminum platter, three foot frame, unipivot tonearm with continuously adjustable VTA (arms with different carts can be swapped in a matter of minutes) and priced at a whopping $799, this looks to be a killer table. My guess is it outperforms TTs at several times its price point.

Quite impressive for the $799. Well thought-out and easy to use adjustments to address the 'problems' of a unipivot arm (VPI could take a lesson). Wonder if they've allowed for mounting other moderately priced (Jelco, etc.) arms? Likely benefit from a better 'wall wart' power supply. All-in-all, looks to be a great intro to vinyl or reasonably priced alternative to a refurb'd Dual, etc. Wonder if Mikey will like it?
