Thanks! I really do love this LP12. She's pretty special to me. Linn's sometime get a bad wrap for being difficult to set up properly. When in reality, it's really not that hard....just need some patience and once set up, they do stay that way for a long time as long as you are not transporting them all over creation.

This one has a new top plate, a DC motor instead of the usual AC motor. It also has been moved to about the 7 o'clockish position and uses an elaborate DC battery power supply. Very quiet, very black backgrounds, wonderful dynamic shadings. Then Naim ARO is a perfect sonic match to this table, and the Benz Ruby ZH just completes the package in imho. I love the harmonic structure this front end gives to music and the dynamic shadings and speed stability really help to communicate the musical message.

In any case, if you happen across one in nice shape, I think you'd like it.:thumbsup:

Yes sir, these are some tall ones. 72" if I remember correctly and 180 lb's a piece. Although they are very tall, they are narrow and deep and are mounted on a unique stand/platform in a way that they look as though they are almost floating. Also, the designer placed the two 10" woofers opposite from one another (top/bottom), same with the two 51/2" miss, with the tweeter in the middle. 180 pounds?!? Speaker placement must be quite the chore!

Screw the TT, bring on more Duntech/Dunlavy! God, I loved those speakers back in the day.

Someone had a set of the "small"..."bookshelf"..."tabletop" (SCII/a I think) speakers for dirt cheap awhile back and I was stupid not to drive and pick them up (they would have been great for my office system).

Yeah, I still remember the day they arrived at my house. I had them delivered by a special freight company and the driver was almost as excited as I was. His best buddy was an audiophile and told him how special these speakers were, at least "back in the day". He actually helped me get them into my house as well as stayed and help me get them set up so that he could hear what they sounded like!

Needless to say that at 180lb's, once I found their perfect place in my room, they have stayed their ever since. Thankfully I love them as much as I do, because I'd hate to have to ever pack them up and ship them off.
