Ivan, with such versatility at hand~loudness compensator in preamp plus DG control unit, and high calibre peripherals-cabling, racking, driving the highly acclaimed R1s~hard to imagine that the resultant will be anything less than stellar for any music you care to throw at them!

*All you need now is a little patience.. My DP/DC and A200s took somewhere between 5-6 months (ave.5hrs/day playing) before they finally stabilized/shine (ie.750-900hrs). Initially, could sound a tad bright/foggy, and slow at times (speed, a main concern then coming from dCS and FMA). But the drive and PRAT eventually caught up nicely, couldn't be happier. (oh, had 4 new PCs and 2 ICs too installed at that same time btw.).
Now.. Enjoy the ride! :burnin:

What cables are you talking about ? I don't see any.

Congratulations on the system. It looks absolutely gorgeous and you will have many hours of happiness listening to it. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

I'll be very interested once you start playing with the DG58. This should get you to the next level (not that you need it :D)

Ivan.......The Accuphase components are gorgeous. It is a joy to finally see them lit up on the HRS rack. The TAD R1's look right at home and the Stillpoints are complimentary to their appearance. Time to let the gear and speakers break-in begin.

Well I sure am glad I checked back on this thread.....how beautiful is that!

What a great addition to that part of the house, no doubt the performance is off the chart!

I've been curious about the R-1's since day one. I hope to see it in person in the near future....
