Great support from Logitech
I recently purchased a new McIntosh C1100 and tried to change the code on my Harmony 650 remote. Since the C1100 is so new it was not in the database. I sent an email to customer support and they followed up with me right away. In less than 48 hours I received an email saying they had updated their database to include the C1100. For a $50.00 disposable remote you can't get better service then that. I have 3 of them for my 3 separate systems, 2 channel, HT and television. Much more convient than the pile of remotes I had in the past.

Paul.......What Logitech remote are you speaking about?

Dan, I am using the Logitech Harmony 650 remote. It does what I want and is very inexpensive. I consider it disposable if I drop it. It keeps my OEM remotes like new since I don't use them anymore.

Paul.......Thanks. It looks like a decent remote. Can't beat the price. How long do batteries last in it?

Dan, the batteries seem to last a year or so, about the same as all of my remotes. I am in work most of the time so they may last longer for me.

The harmony "touch" is a great remote by the way. These are discontinued and replaced by the "ultimate one", however they are still available and on sale at Cruchfield for $99. I own both the "touch" and "ultimate one" and they are essentially the same. You can't beat this deal... Cheers!
