New production Gold Lion KT66 I want to get some for my Universal Inspire . I miss my ole Inspire KT66. Do the Gold Lion seem to be the go to for the money? I had Gold Lions in the KT66 just curious if there is some other ones that my forum friends like for close to the same price? I am going to put the Universal Inspire in a barn system I have

The only ones I've tried are the Gold Lion KT66. I read quite a few reviews before buying them. They were only a few bucks more. But can't say which sounds best in an Inspire.

I'm sure vintage 6L6GC, like RCA black plates, would sound great too. I have just two GE 6L6GC and so can't make that comparison. Or you could break the bank and go for the original NOS Genalex KT66.

Put my own knobs on it.
I'll probably leave it as is, I like the prototype look...:thumbsup:
Gonna dig up one of my DIY remote volume control kits for it.

That's what I am going to do.

On another topic about tubes. Why do the sellers on the bay sell 45 tubes from two different manufactures? They do not look identical. I am new to tubes but you are not supposed to for the right and left channel place two different tubes in correct? I want to buy NOS 45 tubes.

At the shop yesterday we had a laugh. Dennis own personal 6FLV he just finished next to a re-circuited Maggie SE pull which is set up to burn in his new speakers. The FLV was going back home.
