The S10 arrives on Friday and I will try to clone the drive this weekend.

Aurender Formatting new HDD

Thank you photoboy for providing guides to changing HDDs. I have a N10 and I wish to change HDD to 4TB. On your guide to format, do I need to put both New disks at the same time?
My alternative is to use an external NAS, and the AMM app to integrate all database, but I don’t know whether there will be degradation to sound quality ? But the upside is unlimited expansion. Aurender said maximum for N10 is 8TB only.
Looking forward to hearing experiences from fellow users! Thks

No moving parts can only have a positive effect.

I read several articles that stated that while SSDs are faster and silent, they have a more limited read/write cycle and therefore are more prone to errors long term. The authors actually recommended against using SSDs for storing music. Feel free to Google the subject and then decide.
